An experiment in color and texture.

With a background in graphic design, I started Imogen in Color when I was pregnant with my fourth child. I was very, very sick (and tired) and spent a lot of time “resting”. I still had the desire to create and I began to experiment on the iPad with abstract digital art. With the support of my husband and family, I finally had some of my work printed, branded myself, and launched Imogen in Color.

Originally from Metro-Detroit, I have been interested in art since I was a child. I used to spend hours in my bedroom drawing, and in high school I signed up for all the art classes they would allow. My love for art and design continued and in 2007 I graduated from Eastern Michigan University earning a Bachelor degree in Fine Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design. After working for a few design/marketing firms, I started my full-time business, Tied & Two, with my business partner, Lauren. I share a studio space with other creatives in my hometown called Collective.

Imogen in Color is digital abstract art by me, Kari Rehnlund. I have four beautiful children; Archer, Quinn, Briar, and Imogen with my husband Bryan. We currently reside outside of Augusta, Georgia in North Augusta, South Carolina.
